Search strategies

Reading Jon Udell's latest post, it surprised me that more people aren't using quoted search (searching for a mix of words and/or specific and complete phrases/specific characters like this search : error "abort, retry, ignore").

I use this search strategy constantly, especially when searching for others who might have hit the same error message I'm currently getting stumped by.

I suspect if we'd look at google's search data, quoted strings would come up quite frequently.

If you haven't tried quoted search strings, think about giving it a try when you're not having success with just words.
